T he James White Construction Company (JWC) has been serving the Tri-State area of West Virginia, Ohio and Western Pennsylvania for over 50 years. JWC started out primarily as a utility and small excavation contractor. Through the years they have expanded and diversified into industrial, commercial, heavy/highway and private site development work. Their contracts consist primarily of, but not limited to, excavation, demolition, utility and bridge (new and rehabilitation) projects as a general or subcontractor. Their staff consists of aggressive and experienced personnel and offer a full range of services.

JWC is pre-qualified in West Virginia, Ohio and Pennsylvania. This, along with their bonding, general liability and pollution liability insurance capabilities, allows projects to be managed and completed to meet all local, state and federal regulations.

Excavation for new CGL line. 140,000 CY of excavation and 150,000 CY to fill to prepare for new 144,000 sq. ft. building to house the expansion of Wheeling-Nisshin's new CGL line. Along with an 11ft. multi-plate storm sewer that was 640ft. long with head walls.

Moved approximately 110,000 CY of excavated material to repair a major hillside slip located inside Weirton Steel property.

Route 22

West Virginia Department of Highways
Subcontract for Charleston Construction - replacement of U.S. Route 22. From end of bypass construction to the Pennsylvania state line. Removed existing roadway, 120,000 SY of concrete along with 128,000 CY undercut. We also placed a fill for base with fabric for stabilization. Over 105,000 ton of sub grade aggregate.
